W. Elorda’s Snapshots – Phipps Autumn Flower Show 2023

Phipps Autumn Flower Show 2023

Good morning lovelies.

How are you doing today? How is your week going so far? I hope it continues to go well for you, or it gets better.

I’m doing pretty well today, nothing to complain about in the grand scheme of things.

I’m here today to share some snapshots from my recent visit to Phipps Conservatory to see their Autumn Flower Show.

Phipps is one of my favourite places to visit, it’s always so peaceful and the beautiful flowers always bring me joy. I’m looking forward to sharing some of that beauty with you today!

As usual, these photos were taken using my iPhone 12.

Let’s jump right in shall we!

Phipps Conservatory: Autumn Flower Show 2023

I have to preface this by saying that I did forget to write down the names of some of these flowers, so I will not be naming them. I’m really sorry about that.

I’ll also be posting the photos in the order you would see them walking through the Conservatory.

Palm Court

This is the sight that greets you as you enter the Palm Court, which is the first room you enter as you are your way into Phipps.

All of the yellow reminds me of a sunny day.

Sunken Garden.

This Chrysanthemum planted in the Sunken Garden room was nearly as tall as me. These flowers are so pretty when they start to open up like this.

Victoria Room.

These gorgeous orange flowers are planted all around the edge of the Victoria Room. When I think of Autumn, these are the kind of colours that come to mind.

East Room.

The layout of the East Room was particularly impressive this year. I don’t really like cider myself, but this room was so perfect at capturing some cozy Autumn vibes.

The little pumpkins make me especially happy.

You can’t see them in the photo, but there were basket of apples all around them room, each labeled with the kind of apple inside.

Victoria Room

The beautiful Chrysanthemum flower was planted in the centre of the Victoria Room, and is such a lovely contrast to all of the green that surrounds it.

Broderie Room

The statues in the Broderie Room looked stunning surrounded by all these yellow and white flowers.

I never knew there were so many kinds of Chrysanthemums.

Broderie Room

A close up of one of the Chrysanthemums in the Broderie Room.

It reminds me of a firework, or the sun in a child’s drawing, so very pretty.

Japanese Garden

I’m glad that I was able to catch the leaves of the Japanese Maples as they change colours for the season.

I adore this shade of red.

Orchid Room

I usually can’t get photos of the koi fish in the Orchid Room (my favourite room in the Conservatory). They are usually hiding under the leaves, but I got lucky this visit!

Aren’t they pretty? I could watch them swim all day!

Orchid Room

Of course, I had to finish with a photo of the Longfellows!

These glass figures are my favourite thing to see at Phipps, they are just so charming.

These fellows were created by Hans Godo Fräbel and installed in 2009. I recommend checking them out if you ever visit Phipps for yourself!

And that is all for my Phipps Snapshots! Did you like them? Which one was your favourite?

It will soon be time for the Winter Show at Phipps, so I will have more snapshots to share soon!

That’s a wrap on today’s post! I hope that you enjoyed it! If you did, I’d appreciate if you considered following the blog, so you can be updated each time I post something new!
