W. Elorda’s Snapshots – Georgia Trip, 2024

Good Morning Lovelies.

How are you doing today? How was your weekend? Did you get up to anything exciting?

I mostly just relaxed at home, and ran a few small errands. It felt really good to unwind after a chaotic couple of months, what with the move and everything. Things are starting to settle now though, and I can get myself back into a routine.

Today’s post will be the snapshots I took from my trip to Georgia a couple of weeks ago! It was my first time visiting, and the scenery was absolutely gorgeous! I’m very excited to share my favourite photos with you.

Most of these photos were taken at Amicalola Falls State Park, or Springer Mountain.

All of the photos shown in this post were taken on my iPhone 12, and edited using PhotoShop Express.

I hope you enjoy, and let’s jump right in!

W. Elorda’s Snapshots – Georgia Trip, 2024

The first photo is of the trees. There surround the lodge at Amicalola Falls State Park. There are so many lush forests that I couldn’t not take a photo of the canopy.

This cute little creek is right before Amicalola Falls. These waterways are protected due to being Trout habitats, which I thought was really cool. I really like it when trees hang close to the water’s surface.

This photo was taken at the top of Amicalola Falls. I love waterfalls, I grew up pretty close to one, and the sound of the water rushing over the edge is one of the most soothing things I know. There is a little bridge that crosses the falls that lets you see this awesome view.

And here is the view from the top of the Falls, if you look out instead of down. The view is so pretty that it really should be on a postcard! I love the lush greenery and all of the trees.

This is a panoramic shot of the view from the top of Springer Mountain, the first White Blaze on the Appalachian Trail. The trees here are still asleep, but it is still a stunning view of the mountains.

The White Blaze symbol at the top of Springer Mountain.

A plaque on the rocky outlook at Springer Mountain. I think this is the official start of the Appalachian Trail, stretching from Georgia to Maine.

Another cool plaque placed in the rocky outlook. I love the oxidisation of the copper, that gorgeous green patina. It’s a really cool marker that celebrates the Appalachian Trail, and everyone who hikes along it.

My very last photo was taken at Mountain Crossings, an outfitters in Neels Gap. They have an orange cat, and I was very lucky to meet him! He was vocal, and not at all happy about the rainy weather. He was also very cute, and sweet. A sweet boy indeed.

And that is all for this Snapshot post! I really hope that you enjoyed it! Which photo is your favourite? I think mine is the view from the top of Amicalola Falls, though the orange cat is probably a close second.

I have some fun new posts in the works that I am excited to share with you!
