Good Morning Lovelies
How are you? How was your week? Do you have anything fun planned for the weekend, or are you just going to relax? If you have to work, I wish you a stress-free shift.
I had a pretty good week. October is one of my favourite months because of all of the spooky stuff going on, so I am just enjoying the vibes.
Today’s post is Episode 8 of my Journal Photography series. I find journaling so relaxing and cathartic, and I hope you’ve been enjoying these entries as I’ve been sharing them.
With that being said, let’s get right into this week’s episode – shall we?
Journal Photography: Episode 8

This week’s journal spread is from the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival, which I attended a couple of weeks ago.
It’s been a couple of years since I’ve attended this event, and I had a really good time. I’m just disappointed that I didn’t get more photos.
Most of the ephemera used in this spread comes from the Festival’s map. I love using maps as ephemera, pretty much ever since my last trip to Disney.
I really wanted to use the image of the Knight jousting from the map, but I couldn’t fit it into the under layer of the spread, so I decided to turn it into an interactive flap.
You can see what lies underneath it below.

Here you can see the rest of the journal spread on the left page.
The Gem Mining sticker came from the crystal panning experience at the Ren Fest. I love the little parrot!
I also couldn’t resist using a receipt from a pewter vendor as a background piece in the spread as well. I got a cute little dragon figure from them.
Both photos were taken using my iPhone 12 and have not been edited.
And that is it for this journal post! I hope that you enjoyed it, and I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
